Orestis Omran is an attorney qualified in New York, Brussels and Athens. He serves as a Counsel with DLA Piper and heads the firm’s EU-Greek Practice. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a Fulbright Scholar and a PhD candidate on comparative constitutional law at the University of Amsterdam. Orestis is a co-founder of Consensus and Brain Gain, which are civic initiatives lead by Greek professionals and academics who reside abroad; both initiatives aim at creating the conditions that would allow these individuals to return to their home country. He often serves as a guest lecturer in European and US Universities on issues of public and finance law.
