Dimitris Georgiou holds a MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge, as well as a BA in Finance and Accounting from the Athens University of Economics and Business (1st – 9.46/10). His journey in finance & economics started in the age of 14, when he bought his first stocks. During his BA, he gained experience as junior economic analyst at Eurobank, business analyst at Smeralda Consulting (Italy-local/regional development), while he was selected as fellow for the Athens Entrepreneurship Hubs, for innovative turnaround model for family hotels. He is also the founder and former President of the first student Investment and Finance Club in Greek University. Later on he worked as analyst in real estate private equity focusing in South-East Europe and subsequently as supervision analyst for the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. He quit this position to return to Greece and establish A Food Chronicle, an awarded initiative in experiential tourism.
